A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of
sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette
and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the
alienation of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

PORTIONS of Waotu North No. 2B Block, Waikato, contain-
ing together about 28 acres, proposed to be acquired by the
Crown for educational and telegraph purposes, as delineated
on the plan of the said block, deposited in the Survey Office,
Auckland.
Order to take Land for the North Island Main Trunk Rail-
way. Length about 210 miles.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day
of April, 1885.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in me
by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other
powers enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, order that a railway, having an
average width of three hundred links, extending from a
point on the right bank of the Puniu River, in the Pro-
vincial District of Auckland, to a point at the intersection of
the railway-line from Foxton to New Plymouth Railway,
situated in Section seven, Block three, Rangitoto Survey
District, Provincial District of Wellington, shall be con-
structed on or through all lands held or occupied by Native
owners; the total length being two hundred and ten miles or
thereabouts: as delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D.
12069, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wel-
ington.

Extending Time for Election, Anama Road District, County
of Ashburton.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth
day of May, 1885.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Ashburton, by
a special order duly made and gazetted the fourteenth
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five,
altered the boundaries of the Anama Road District, dissolved
the Road Board thereof, and appointed the second day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, to be the
day for holding the election of a new Board for the said
district: And whereas the said election cannot be held on
the said appointed day:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by “The Road Boards Act,
1882,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Exe-
cutive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and
declare that the time for holding an election of a new Board
for the aforesaid Road District of Anama, as fixed by the said
special order, is hereby extended, and that such election may
take place on the thirteenth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five; and, further, that James Brake,
Esquire, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the said
election; and that the first meeting of the new Board shall
be held at Mr. Brake's house, Mayfield, on the twentieth
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, at
twelve o'clock noon.

Extending Time for holding Elections, Archhill Road Dis-
trict, County of Eden.

WHEREAS the Returning Officer of the Archhill-
Road District failed to hold the annual elections of
members of the Board of the said district at the date prescribed
by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and it is expedient to
extend the time for holding such elections:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in him by the said “Road Boards Act,
1882,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and
declare that the time for holding the election of members
of the said Archhill Road Board is hereby extended, and
that such elections may be held on or before the thirtieth
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Waimea.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain
things required to be done by “The Counties Act,
1876,” in connection with the making and revision of the
county roll of the County of Waimea, cannot be done by or
within the times required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said “Counties Act,
1876,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the times
for doing the said things in connection with the county roll
of the said County of Waimea, and doth declare that the
time for the doing of such several things shall be those which
are specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- Rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 20th June,
1885, to the 15th July, 1885. - Objections to rolls received: Until the 31st August,
- Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day after the
1st September, 1885, but Revision Court shall not sit after
the 20th September, 1885. - Roll shall come into force: On the 1st October, 1885.
