Postponement of Sale of Section No. 35567, in the County of Waimate.

I HEREBY give notice that the sale of the above section, containing 15 acres 3 roods of land, adjoining Sections Nos, 19175 and 20542 and Elephant Hill Creek, is postponed to the 24th March, 1885, on which day it will be submitted to public auction, at the Courthouse, Waimate, at 12 o'clock noon.

Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Havelock on or before the 28th day of January, 1885.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden's Office at Havelock.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: R. W. Weekes. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business; "Prince of Wales Claim." 8 acres 2 roods 15 perches, at Deadhorse Creek, in the Wairau and Pelorus Mining District.
