NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-RACE.
Tuapeka, 13th February, 1885.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race, to divert and use water for milling purposes, from Gabriel’s Gully, commencing at a point on the east side of Gabriel’s Gully, opposite John Pope’s house, and terminating at the Derwent Street Bridge.
The length of such water-race will be about one mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-west.
The greatest depth of such water-race will be 2 feet, and the mean breadth is 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert twenty Government-heads of water.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registered Office of the above-named company has been, this day, changed from Main Road, South Dunedin, to Watson’s Buildings, Octagon, Dunedin; and that CHARLES FORD has been, this day, appointed Legal Manager, in lieu of Patrick John Bellett, resigned.

NOTICE.
In the matter of the application of GEORGE WATSON and WILLIAM RORRISON BUCHAN for a mineral lease of Section 11, Block VII., Mid Wakatipu, under “The Mines Act, 1877.”
I HEREBY give notice that the lease of above Section 11, Block VII., Mid Wakatipu, in favour of above-named applicants, is now lying at my office at Queenstown; and I hereby request the attendance of the lessees, or their lawful attorney, at my said office, to execute and take delivery of the said lease within seven days from this date, or the said lease will be forfeited.

PATENT FOR AN IMPROVED WIRE-STRAINER,
Dated 7th November, 1884, No. 1284.
THIS is to notify to all to whom it may concern that CHARLES OSBERN RALPH WALKER, of Coolart Balnaring, in the Colony of Victoria, Station Manager, has applied to me for leave to enter a disclaimer of part of the said invention, the particulars whereof are stated below. I do hereby appoint Wednesday, the 6th day of May next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, to hear and consider the said application and all objections to the same; and I do hereby require all persons having an interest in opposing the said application to leave, on or before the 21st day of April next, at my office in Wellington, particulars in writing of their objections to the same, otherwise they will be precluded from urging such objections.

MOUNT PEEL ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mount Peel Road Board intend to take, under the provisions contained in “The Public Works Act, 1882,” the several pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for road purposes.
The plans and a general description of the same can be inspected at the office of the Road Board at Peel Forest; and all persons affected are requested to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Chairman of the above-named Road Board.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Tengawai Survey District, containing one acre and thirty-eight perches, of a width of one chain, commencing at the end of the Government Road at the north-western boundary of Section 27813, and running north-westerly through Section 19994 to the Opihi River.
All that piece of land in the Opuha Survey District, containing thirty-nine acres and thirty-one perches, one chain wide, commencing at the end of Government road at the south-west corner of Section 20949, extending generally in a north-easterly direction through that section and Sections 28376, 28377, 28901, 20939, 25227, 20938, 28432, and 29908 to the north branch of the Opuha River.
All that piece of land in the Orari Survey District, containing six acres two roods and sixteen perches, one chain wide, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 9864, continuing westerly through that section and Section 9865, north-easterly through Section 16711, and westerly between Section 24966 and Section 16711, and joining the old road at the western boundary of the latter section.
