Leases for Tender, Longwood District.
Crown Lands Office,
Invercargill, 29th January, 1885.
WRITTEN tenders, in sealed covers, are invited for
the under-mentioned sections, in accordance with
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," at the upset
annual rent as fixed by the Board.
The price tendered must be given in writing as well as in
figures, accompanied by a statutory declaration, together
with six months' rent at the rate tendered, and £1 10s. fee
for lease and registration, to be lodged with the Commis-
sioner of Crown Lands, Invercargill, not later than 4 o'clock
p.m. on Wednesday, the 18th day of March, 1885.
The tenders will be opened at a meeting of the Land
Board on Thursday, the 19th day of March, 1885, when the
highest tenderer (if the tender shall equal or exceed the
upset annual rental per acre fixed by the Board) will be
declared the lessee.
The tenderers must appear at the Land Board, either in
person or by an agent authorized in writing, on the day on
which the tenders are opened. Forms of tender and declara-
tion, with covers, can be obtained on application at the
Land Offices, Riverton and Invercargill.

Friday, the 13th March, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.

Gold Fields Notices.
Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The
Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under
that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes,
it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of
Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants
specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged
with the Warden at Lawrence on or before the 12th day of
March, 1885.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be
seen at the Warden's Office at Lawrence.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANTS: The Great Extended Sluicing Company (Re-
gistered). Style under which it is intended to conduct the
business: "The Great Extended Sluicing Company (Regis-
tered)." 1 acre 2 roods 9 perches, Section 23, Block XVIII.,
Tuapeka East, in the Tuapeka Mining District.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this twenty-eighth
day of February, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-five.
