A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the twentieth section of "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby set apart the lands enumerated in the
Schedule hereto for sale as a village settlement, upon such
terms and conditions as are set forth in an Order in Council
made under the twenty-first section of the said Act.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

All that road marked D, B, E, F, G, C, situate in Block XII.,
Wairarapa, and Block IX., Huangarua Survey Districts,
commencing at the point marked D, and proceeding first in
an easterly and afterwards in a northerly direction through
the Native blocks known as Waihinga West No. 74N, Wai-
hinga Middle No. 75N, and Waihinga East No. 73N to the
point marked C on the northern boundary of the last-
mentioned block; the width of the road from D to B being
100 links, B to E 80 links, E to F 100 links, F to G 80 links,
and G to C 100 links respectively. Also all that irregular
piece of road, coloured dark brown, being part of Waihinga
West No. 74N Block, on the bank of the Ruamahunga River,
near the point marked D quoted above, and situate in Block
XII., Wairarapa Survey District. Bounded towards the
North-west by the Ruamahunga River; towards the South-
east by a line bearing 227ยฐ 14', and marked HI: as the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 1845,
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 17th May, 1884.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act,
1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road
in the Town of Invercargill:

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, as re-
quired by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
section eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all
mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind
soever, for use as a road.
