NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Waiau, 9th December, 1884.
To the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point about 1 chain above the second conflu-
ence of Diggers Creek, and terminating about 50 chains
below.
The length of such race is about 50 or 60 chains or there-
abouts, and its intended course is about north-east.
The mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean
breadth is 2 feet, and it is proposed to divert two Govern-
ment-heads of water.

must lodge his objection in writing at the Commissioner of
Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, within thirty clear days from
the date hereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership Business
hitherto carried on by us, the undersigned, at Springs-
ton and Irwell, as Farmers and Graziers, under the style or
firm of "Day and Kimber," has been dissolved as from this
date. The business will in future be carried on by the
undersigned, Robert Day, on his own account.
All debts due to and by the late firm will be received and
paid by the undersigned, Henry Kimber, whose receipt alone
will be a sufficient discharge for the same.

I, DAVID MATHEWSON NAIRN, Licentiate of the Royal
College of Physicians, Licentiate of the Royal College
of Surgeons, Licentiate in Midwifery, Edinburgh, now resid-
ing in the Town of Blenheim, hereby give notice that I intend
to apply, on the 1st day of February next, to be registered
under "The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869;" and that I
have deposited evidence of my qualifications with the Regis-
trar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, at Picton, in terms of
the said Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of
"The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," "The
Public Works Act, 1882," and the Acts amending the same,
the Mayor, Councillors, and burgesses of the Borough of
Sydenham (commonly called the Sydenham Borough
Council) propose to widen a street named Rogers Street,
situate in Rural Sections Nos. 71 and 196, in the Survey
District of Christchurch, extending through the said sections
from the Waltham Road to Huxley Street, and for that
purpose to take the several parcels of land described in the
Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the street proposed to be widened and the
lands required to be taken for that purpose, together with
the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands, so far
as they can be ascertained, may be seen during office hours
at the Borough Council Offices, Sydenham.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in
writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the
widening of the said street or to the taking of the said lands
as aforesaid; and such objections must be delivered at my
office on or before the 6th day of February, 1885.

tenths (190.6) in length, taken along the north-west boundary
of Rogers Street from Hume Street in a south-westerly
direction. Stated to be the property of H. Taylor.
Lot 6. All that piece of land containing five perches and
seven-tenths (5.7), being part of Rural Section No. 71, a
strip of land, seventeen links and eight-tenths (17.8) in width
by two hundred links (200) in length, taken along the north-
west boundary of Rogers Street in a north-east direction from
Hume Street. Stated to be the property of H. Taylor.
Lot 7. All that piece of land containing four perches and
eighty-four hundredths (4.84), Rural Section No. 71, being a
strip of land, seventeen links and eight-tenths (17.8) in width
by one hundred and seventy links (170) in length, taken along
the north-west boundary of Rogers Street between the
properties of H. Taylor and W. Currie. Stated to be the
property of E. Round.
