A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for further portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, namely, portion Waikari-Hurunui Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, George Marsden Waterhouse, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 19 perches, situate in the Survey District of Waitohi, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being portion of Crown land; commencing at a point bearing from Trig. V N. 5° 34′ W., and 11039·8 links distant therefrom, and bounded as follows: Easterly by a straight line, 3955 links; generally South-easterly by a curved line 2630 links, by a straight line 409 links to the River Hurunui; North-easterly by said river, 150 links or thereabouts; North-westerly by a straight line 376 links, by a curved line 817 links; South-westerly by a straight line, 50 links; North-westerly by a curved line, 1900 links; Westerly by a straight line, 3955 links; Southerly by a straight line, 100 links, to the commencing point: be all the above areas and linkages either more or less; as the same are more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 11399, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Given under the hand of the Honourable George Marsden Waterhouse, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for further portion of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, namely, Kumeu-Helensville Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, George Marsden Waterhouse, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 3 perches, situate in the Waitemata Survey District, and being portion of the Turakiawatea Block, No. 533; commencing at a point on the western boundary of the Turakiawatea Block at a distance of 1800 links from the north-eastern corner of the Ihumatao Block. Bounded—North-easterly by a curved line, 2524 links; South-easterly by a right line, 121 links; South-westerly by a curved line, 2341 links; South-westerly by a right line, 138 links, to the commencing point.

All those parcels of land containing by admeasurement 3 acres 7 perches, 4 acres 6 perches, 1 rood 30 perches, 1 rood 23 perches, and 1 acre 21 perches, respectively,

ERRATUM.—In New Zealand Gazette No. 78, of the 3rd July, page 1035, appointment of Trustees for the Fairfax Cemetery, for “John Elder Brown,” read “James Elder Brown.”
