A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for further portion of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, namely, Hawera to Mokoia: And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, George Marsden Waterhouse, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed deputy, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
SCHEDULE.
Section No. 185, 1 acre and 28 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 28 perches, being part of Section No. 185; commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of said section distant 98 links from the westernmost corner thereof. Bounded—North-westerly by the Tawhiti Road, 100 links; North-easterly by lines, 219, 304, 305, 406, and 11 links respectively; Southerly by Section No. 184, 143 links; South-westerly by lines, 307, 294, 296, and 216 links respectively, to the commencing point.
Section No. 184, 2 roods 17 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 17 perches, being part of Section No. 184; commencing at a point on the northern boundary of said section distant 435 links from the northernmost corner thereof. Bounded—Northerly by Section No. 185, 143 links; North-easterly by lines, 294 and 292 links respectively; Southerly by Section No. 24, 155 links; South-westerly by lines, 198, 295, and 87 links respectively, to the commencing point.
Section No. 24, 2 roods 14 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 14 perches, being part of Section No. 24, situate in the Hawera Ten-acre Settlement; commencing on the north-easternmost corner of said section. Bounded—Easterly by Section No. 27, 388 links; South-westerly by lines, 181, 106, 101, and 100 links respectively; Northerly by Section No. 184, 290 links, to the commencing point.
Section No. 27, 1 acre 1 rood 3 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 3 perches, being part of Section No. 27, Hawera Ten-acre Settlement; commencing at a point on the western boundary of said section distant 216 links from the north-western corner thereof. Bounded—North-easterly by a line, 1271 links; Easterly by a road, 134 links; Southerly by a road, 27 links; South-westerly by a line, 1225 links; Westerly by Section No. 24, 172 links, to the commencing point.
Section No. 29, 1 acre 2 roods 21 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 21 perches, being part of Section No. 29, Hawera Ten-acre Settlement; commencing at the north-western corner of said section. Bounded—Northerly by the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 32, 121 links; North-easterly by lines, 177, 200, 206, and 630 links respectively; Easterly by Section No. 32, 182 links; South-westerly by lines, 782 and 400 links respectively; Southerly by a line, 91 links; Westerly by a public road, 230 links, to the commencing point.
Section No. 32, 2 roods 3 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 3 perches, being part of Section No 32, Hawera Ten-acre Settlement; commencing at the south-western corner of said section. Bounded—Westerly by Section No. 29, 359 links; North-easterly by lines, 170, 205, and 102 links respectively; Southerly by Section No. 31, 300 links, to the commencing point.
Section No. 31, 1 acre 1 rood 21 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 21 perches, being part of Section No. 31, Hawera Ten-acre Settlement; commencing at a point on the northern boundary of said section distant 66 links from the north-western corner thereof. Bounded—Northerly by Section No. 32, 235 links; North-easterly by lines, 94, 194, 299, and 152 links respectively; Easterly by Section No. 545, 139 links; South-westerly by lines, 253, 309, 205, 203, and 33 links respectively, to the commencing point.
Section No. 545, 1 acre and 32 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 32 perches, being part of Section No. 545; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of said section distant 694 links from the south-western corner thereof. Bounded—Southerly by the South Road, 252 links; North-easterly by lines, 345, 328, 368, and 144 links respectively; Westerly by Section No. 31, 139 links; South-westerly by lines, 51, 374, 331, and 143 links respectively, to the commencing point.
Section No. 193, 3 roods 10 perches.—All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 10 perches, being part of Section No. 193; commencing at the eastern-
