NATIVE LAND COURT.—Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND :
GISBORNE DISTRICT.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Tologa Bay, in the said district, on the 13th day of March, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as “Mangatuna No. 2;” and in the matter of the application of Epiniha Ratapu and others for a rehearing upon such claim :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Uawa, in the said district, on the 25th day of March, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as “Wairoro No. 1;” and in the matter of the application of Karauria Pahura and others for a rehearing upon such claim :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

NATIVE LAND COURT.—Application for Rehearing of Claim granted.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND :
GISBORNE DISTRICT.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given at Hastings, in the said district, on the 19th day of March, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Tareha Moananui in a block of land in the said district, known as “Tarawera;” and in the matter of an application made to this Court in writing within three months after such decision was given, by a native named Airini Tonore, thinking herself aggrieved thereby, for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on the 12th day of August next, at a sitting of the Court to be then held at Hastings, in the said district.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Uawa, in the said district, on the 20th day of February, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for the investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as “Pukeamaru;” and in the matter of the application of Keeti te Ahurangi for a rehearing upon Pukeamaru Nos. 1 and 3 :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

Notice under “Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 1st day of July, 1884, the title to the lands mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said lands will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 10th day of August, 1884.

SCHEDULE.

NAME by which land is known: Te Ao-te-Kowhai and Pokapoka. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Hauraki. Area: 23 acres.

Notice under “Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 18th day of June, 1884, the title to the lands mentioned in the Schedule herein became within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further that dealings with the said lands will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 28th day of July, 1884.

NAME by which land is known: Mangatuna No. 2. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Poverty Bay. Area: 290 acres.

Name by which land is known: Pukeamaru. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Poverty Bay. Area: 9,483 acres.
