NOTICE is hereby given that ALFRED DE LISSA, of 313, George Street, Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, Solicitor, has applied, on behalf of JAMES RUSSELL AND SONS (LIMITED), of Crown Tube Works, Wednesbury, in the County of Stafford, in England, Tube Manufacturers, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade marks of which the following is a description, viz. :
Description of Trade Marks.
No. 1 is the outline of a crown.
No. 2 is the representation of a crown.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade Marks shall apply.
Stock dies and taps, patent solid die-stocks, tube-cutters, chasing tools, and screw-plates ; metal goods, being tubes of iron, steel, or other metals, ferules, tap-wrenches, ratchet-braces, tongs, pliers, gas and other fittings ; telegraph poles, casing shells and rods for artesian-well boring, oil-well tubes, core-bars, bedstead-tubes, fluted tubes, and hand-rail tubes ; also coils of all descriptions ; iron, brass, and gun-metal valves, cocks, lubricators, water-gauges, and other fittings for gas, steam, and water purposes.

Description of Trade Mark.
An oblong label bearing between two ribbands a representation of a willow-pattern plate. On either side of the plate is a fanciful-shaped tablet, that on the left bearing the words “For all kinds of Fish, Game, Chops, Steaks,” and that on the right the words and cipher “Soups, Stews, Gravies, Hot & Cold Meats;” under the plate is a tablet on which are the words “Trade Mark,” below which are the words and cipher “Prepared & sold wholesale by.” The upper ribband, which has just above it the words “The Celebrated,” bears the words “Yorkshire Relish,” and the lower ribband the name “Goodhall, Backhouse, & Co.;” below the lower ribband is the word “Leeds.” The above-described label is printed in red, white, and blue; but applicant claims the right to use the same in any colour or combination of colours.
