NOTICE.

A SPECIAL resolution passed by the shareholders of the Riwaka and Nelson Navigation Company (Limited), on the 25th day of February last, for winding up the company voluntarily, has this day, the 19th day of May, 1884, been confirmed by special order.

To the Registrar-General of the Colony of New Zealand.

I, BENJAMIN MICHAEL MOORHOUSE, Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery of the University of Edinburgh, 1883, and Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, 1883, now residing at Wellington, hereby give notice that it is my intention to apply to you, on the 20th day of July next, to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zealand; and that I have deposited my evidence and qualification for public inspection, in the office of the Registrar-General of the colony, at Wellington.

THE Peninsula Road Board hereby give notice that, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” they propose to take the land hereinafter described for the purpose of a public road. A plan showing the said proposed road is now deposited for inspection at the office of the said Board, situate at the schoolhouse, Highcliff, Otago Peninsula.

Objections to the taking of such land must be sent in writing to the undersigned within forty days from this date.

Description of the Land proposed to be taken: All that parcel of land situate in the Otago Peninsula District, being part of Section 52, Block III., on the map of the said district, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 11·5 perches, more or less; commencing at a point on the Seal Point Road distant 279 links from the south-western corner of Section 13, same block, and passing through said Section 52 from the eastern to the western side thereof a distance of 3879 links on a bearing of 75° 10′, and 416·7 links on a bearing of 22° 54′, to the road known as Ferguson’s Road at the boundary of Sections 1 and 51, Block I., same district, and being 60 links wide.

Dated at Anderson’s Bay, this 11th day of June, 1884.
