All that piece or parcel of land being portion of the Kainga-raki No. 9 Block, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 33 perches; commencing at the most westerly corner of the said block. Bounded—North-easterly by a line, 1295 links; South-easterly by a line, 103 links; generally South-westerly by lines, 1121 and 221 links respectively, to the point of commencement.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 16 perches, being portion of the Kaingaraki No. 2 Block, Section No. 13; commencing at a point on its north-western boundary distant 1240 links from the north-western angle of the said block, on a bearing of 201° 54′. Bounded—North-easterly by a line, 346½ links; South-easterly by a line, 106½ links; South-westerly by a line, 360 links; and North-westerly by a line, 103 links, to the point of commencement.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 16 perches, being the north-western production of the Mill Road, Otaki, westward of Rauparaha Street; commencing at the north-eastern corner of the Moutere Block. Bounded—North-easterly by the Te Awamate Block, 688·5 links; South-easterly by Rauparaha Street, 87·5 links; South-westerly by Otaki A Block, 686 links; North-westerly by the Moutere Block, 87·5 links, to the point of commencement.

The above areas and linkages being either more or less; the several parcels of land being situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, and are more particularly delineated upon the plans marked P.W.D. 11363, attached to the memorial above referred to.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Auckland, this nineteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Upper Mahurangi Road District, Provincial District of Auckland: And whereas the Upper Mahurangi Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods, being a portion of a road-line varying in width and lying along the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 138; commencing on the northern boundary of Allotment No. 138 at a distance of 85 links from its north-eastern angle. Bounded towards the North by a line, 85 links; towards the East by lines, 40 and 706 links respectively; and towards the West generally by lines, 273, 244, 176, and 59 links respectively, to the commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 13 perches, being portion of a road-line varying in width and lying along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 138; commencing at the easternmost angle of Allotment No. 138. Bounded towards the South-east by a line, 1044 links; towards the North-west generally by lines, 539, 208, 264, and 127 links respectively; and towards the North-east by a line, 244 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 17 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 174; commencing on the southern boundary of Allotment No. 174 at a distance of 85 links from its south-eastern angle. Bounded towards the South-west by a line, 161 links; towards the North-west by a line, 555 links; and towards the East generally by lines, 193, 321, 184, and 40 links respectively, to the commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 24 perches, being portion of Allotment No. 94; commencing at a point in the southern boundary of Allotment No. 100 distant from its westernmost corner 92 links. Bounded—Northerly by a line, 103 links; South-easterly by a line, 1927 links; Southerly by a line, 111 links; North-westerly by a line to commencing point, 1851 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, being portion of Allotment No. 100, Parish of Mahurangi; commencing at a point in the southern boundary of Allotment No. 100 distant from its westernmost corner 92 links. Bounded—Generally North-westerly by lines, 40, 185, and 283 links respectively; Easterly by a line, 55 links; South-easterly by a line, 400 links; Southerly by a line to commencing point, 103 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 20 perches, being portion of Allotment No. 123, commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 100 distant from its westernmost corner 280 links. Bounded—North-westerly by a line, 365 links; Easterly by a line, 115 links; South-easterly by a line to commencing point, 283 links.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 29 perches, and being a road-line 100 links wide traversing part of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 94; commencing on the southern boundary of Allotment No. 94 at a point 150 links distant from the Mahurangi River. Bounded towards the North-west by lines, 228 and 1526 links respectively; towards the North-east by a road-line, 108 links; towards the South-east by lines, 1524 links and 88 links respectively; and towards the South by a line, 153 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 8 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the western part of the north-eastern portion of Allotment No. 57; commencing on the northern boundary of Allotment No. 57 at a distance of 150 links or thereabouts from the Mahurangi River. Bounded towards the North by a line, 153 links; towards the South-east by lines, 912 and 150 links respectively; towards the South by a line, 126 links; and towards the North-west by lines, 240 links and 796 links respectively, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 11 perches, and being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the north-western corner of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 57; commencing at the north-western angle of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 57. Bounded towards the North by a line, 126 links; towards the South-east by lines, 128, 380, and 130 links respectively; towards the West by the Mahurangi Stream; and towards the North-west by lines, 113, 360, and 25 links respectively, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 4 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the south-eastern part of the north-eastern portion of Allotment No. 93; commencing on the south-western boundary of the north-eastern portion of Allotment No. 93 at a distance of 112 links from the Mahurangi Stream. Bounded towards the North-west by lines, 60, 446, 453, and 375 links respectively; towards the East by the Mahurangi Stream; towards the South-east by lines, 370, 437, and 406 links respectively; and towards the South-west by a line, 112 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 14 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the eastern part of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 93; commencing on the north-eastern boundary of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 93 at a distance of 112 links from the Mahurangi Stream. Bounded towards the North by a line, 112 links; towards the East by a line, 150 and 685 links respectively; towards the South by a line, 100 links; and towards the West by lines, 716 and 125 links respectively, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 15 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide lying along part of the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 92, and being a portion of that section; commencing at the north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 92.
