The following remarks apply only to the above four principal boroughs:—
The births were 295 in April, against 305 in March, a decrease of 10. The deaths in April were 125, against 118 in March, an increase of 7.
There were 9 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards: A male of 79 and a female of 75 died at Auckland; a male of 74 at Wellington; a male of 66 and a female of 66 at Christchurch; and 3 males of 86, 76, and 70, and a female of 71, at Dunedin.
