NOTICE.—Section No. 2, Block VIII., Wairoa Survey District, having been excluded from sale pending the survey of a road, and the said road now having been taken through it, it is hereby notified that the section at the reduced area (103 acres 1 rood 12 perches) after excluding road is now released from such exclusion, and will be again offered at public auction.

LIST of Runs to be submitted to auction, at the Land Office, Christchurch, on the 29th May, 1884, at 12 o’clock noon. The license for each run shall be for a term of about six years, terminating on the 1st March, 1890, subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1877,” and its amendments. Purchasers will have to pay on the fall of the hammer fifteen months’ rent, to the 1st September, 1885.

PASTORAL LAND FOR LEASE FOR TWENTY-ONE YEARS, IN TERMS OF THE LAND ACT 1877 AMENDMENT ACTS, 1879 AND 1882.

NOTICE is hereby given that 11,600 acres of pastoral land in the Kaweka and Pohui Survey Districts will be offered for lease by public auction, at the Council Chamber, Napier, on Thursday, the 12th June, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.
Upset rentals per annum: First seven years, £48 6s. 8d.; second seven years, £72 10s.; third seven years, £96 13s. 4d. Rent to the 31st August, 1885, to be paid in advance, and thereafter to be paid half-yearly in advance.

Description.—The area to be leased is situated about forty-seven miles from Napier, and is bounded by the properties of Messrs. Ford, Hallet, and Waterhouse. The lease lies below the winter snow-line, and includes the clear spurs and hills on the north-eastern slopes of the Kaweka Range. The lower spurs fronting the Mohaka River are capable by surface sowing of being made into good grazing country.
These lands have, until quite recently, been occupied under license from the Crown.
