APRIL 17.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 687

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mining District of Mount Ida, and all other Persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for the purposes of irrigation. The point of commencement of such race is in Crossan’s Gully, near Wedderburn; the point of termination is the western boundary of Section 5, Block VII., Naseby District.

The course of such race is east and west; the length of such race is about half a mile, its mean breadth 18 inches, and its mean depth 12 inches.

It is proposed to divert two Government-heads of water.

The race is already constructed, and passes through unsurveyed lands. An area of 2 feet on both sides of such race, and immediately adjoining thereto, throughout the whole length thereof, will be required for the purpose of depositing matter removed from such race.

Dated this 31st day of March, 1884.
