WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to noon on 31st March, 1884, from persons who are willing to contract for the supply and delivery of one hundred tons of Portland Cement. The cement to be manufactured in the Colony of New Zealand, and to be delivered at any of the under-mentioned places, viz., Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Port Chalmers, or Invercargill. Tenders to be addressed to the Minister for Public Works, and to be marked outside “Tender for Supply of 100 tons of Portland Cement.” Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Sittings of Court for granting Orders of Adjudication in Bankruptcy.

IN exercise of the power in me in this behalf vested by “The Bankruptcy Act, 1883,” I hereby direct that ALEXANDER SUTHERLAND ALLAN, Esq., Registrar of the Supreme Court for the Judicial District of Wellington, shall sit at Chambers, at all convenient times during office hours, for the purpose of granting Orders of Adjudication in Bankruptcy upon the petition of the debtor.

Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.

NOTICE.—FRANCIS BELSTEAD, Esq., Commissioner of Mines and Gold Fields, in Launceston, in the Colony of Tasmania, has been appointed this day, by his Honour the Chief Justice, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the said colony, under the second section of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Rule under “The Supreme Court Act, 1882.”

WE, the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, do hereby, by virtue of the powers conferred on us by section 32 of “The Supreme Court Act, 1882,” make the following rule to be in force in each judicial district of the colony:—
All documents filed in Court (except exhibits) shall be legibly written or printed, or partly printed and partly written, on plain or ruled foolscap paper with quarter margin, and shall be properly indorsed in the cause or matter with the solicitor’s or party’s name at foot responsible for the document. The Registrar may refuse to file any document pre-

sented to him which does not conform to this rule, subject to an application to the Judge of the district.
Given under our hands this 8th day of December, 1883.

Additional Subjects of Examination for Admission as Barristers.

WE, the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of “The Law Practitioners Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1883,” hereby prescribe that persons who have taken the degree of Bachelor of Laws, as mentioned in the said Act, shall be required to answer the questions proposed for candidates for admission as Barristers, in subjects 8 and 9, Rule 11, of the rules and regulations under “The Law Practitioners Act, 1882.”
