Officiating Ministers for 1884.—Notice No. 7.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—

Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England.

Sale of Crown Land, Wellington.

UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF “THE SPECIAL POWERS AND CONTRACTS ACT, 1883.”

NOTICE is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 6th day of May next, at noon, Section No. 443, Palmerston North, containing 205 acres 3 roods 6 perches, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Wellington, at the upset price of £3 10s. per acre, to which is added the sum of £490, the value of improvements.

Terms of Payment: One-fourth of the purchase-money for the land must be paid at the sale, and the balance within one month; the £490 (value of improvements) to be paid to the present occupant of the section, as provided by section 155 of “The Land Act, 1877” in the event of his not acquiring the land at auction.

Sale of Crown Lands, West Coast (North Island) Land District.

Patea, 8th February, 1884.

NOTICE.—Section No. 2, Block VIII., Wairoa Survey District, having been excluded from sale pending the survey of a road, and the said road now having been taken through it, it is hereby notified that the section at the reduced area (103 acres 1 rood 12 perches) after excluding road is now released from such exclusion, and will be again offered at public auction.

Sale of Crown Lands on Deferred Payments in the Woodville and Tahoraite Districts.

IT is hereby notified that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunder have been set apart for sale on deferred payments, and that Tuesday, the 15th day of April next, has been fixed as the day on which such lands shall be open for application at this office.

In the event of more than one application being received for any one section the right to occupy the same will be decided by auction, between the applicants only, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon of Wednesday, the 16th day of April next, at this office.

Description.—Block XIV., Tahoraite Survey District: These lands are situated about eleven miles from Woodville, or two miles from the Village of Kumeroa. The Napier-Wellington Railway will pass within five miles of Block XIV. The terminus of the railway, when it reaches Tahoraite, will be eight miles from Kumeroa. The main roads through the block have been, or are now being, cleared of bush, and formed for dray- and horse-traffic. The whole of the block is lightly timbered, and contains some good agricultural and pastoral forest country. The soil is of a rich description, overlying a marl and limestone formation.

Note.—Selectors need not personally reside on the land. Plans and further particulars can be obtained at the Crown Lands Office, Napier.
