TUAPEKA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Tuapeka County Council to construct a public road through Mr. William Livingstone’s property, Block VII., Waitahuna East District, and for that purpose to take, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” all that parcel of land in the County of Tuapeka, Provincial District of Otago, Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 24·6 perches, more or less, situated in the Waitahuna East District, being portions of Sections 6, 8, 15, 67, Block VII., Waitahuna East District; commencing at a point on road at a bearing and distance south-west from north corner of Section 67 of 179° 33′, 100·9 links; then south-east, 104° 1′, 178·3 links; then 130° 45′, 221·5 links; then north-east, 64° 54′, 239·6 links; 41° 57′, 472·1 links; 66° 15′, 341·1 links; then south-east, 158° 27′, 164·3 links; then north-east, 44° 15′, 320·2 links; 53° 38′, 563·2 links; 70° 39′, 213·7 links; then south-east, 92° 14′, 713·2 links; then south-west, across road, 51°, 151·7 links; then north-west, 92° 14′, 580 links; then south-west, 70° 39′, 179·7 links; 53° 38′, 540·1 links; 224° 15′, 466·5 links; then north-west, 158° 27′, 214·9 links; then south-west, 246° 15′, 215·7 links; 221° 57′, 470·3 links; 244° 54′, 324·1 links; then north-west, 310° 45′, 262·5 links; 104° 1′, 128·7 links; then north-west across road, 359° 33′, 103·3 links, to starting point on road.

Also that a plan, showing the nature of the works proposed to be executed—viz., formation of road for width of 66 feet—lands required to be taken, with name of owner and occupier of said lands, is open for inspection at my office during office hours. The work proposed to be undertaken is construction of road 66 feet in width through Mr. W. Livingstone’s property, Block VII., Waitahuna East District; and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of aforesaid works or to the taking of aforesaid lands, and to send such writing within forty days from date of this notice to the Tuapeka County Council.

To the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the District of Napier, Hawke’s Bay, N.Z.

I, JOHN FRASER INNES, Bachelor of Medicine of Aberdeen University, and Master of Surgery of the same University, now residing in Childers Street, Gisborne, in the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby give notice that I intend to apply to you, on the 11th day of April, 1884, to have my name placed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand, and have deposited my diplomas and certificate of registration in England, along with this, in your office, for public inspection, in terms of “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869.” 201

I, WILLIAM NELSON, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Surgery (Ch.M.) of the Queen’s University in Ireland, and Licentiate in Midwifery (L.M.) of the Royal University in Ireland, residing in Port Chalmers, hereby give notice of my intention to apply, on the 14th of April, to have my name registered as a Medical Practitioner, under “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869,” one month after the publication of this notice; and that I have deposited my diplomas, with a copy of this notice, in the office of the Registrar for the District of Dunedin, for public inspection, in the terms of section 14 of the said Act.

Land Transfer Act Notice.

TRANSMISSION No. 273.—ISABELLA McKENZIE of Kakanui North, Widow, claiming as Administratrix of the Estate of WILLIAM McKENZIE, late of Kakanui North, Blacksmith, deceased intestate, has applied to be registered as Proprietress of Allotments 4 and 5, Block III., of the said township, Register-book, Vol. xliv., folio 277. Applicant will be registered accordingly unless caveat be lodged in this office within one calendar month after the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
