NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND, DISTRICT OF GISBORNE.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Waipawa, in the said district, on the 2nd day of October, 1883, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Mata Whataunga in a block of land situate inthe said district, and known as “Te Whiti”; and in the matter of the application of Emiri Tiweta for a rehearing upon such claim:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

Dated this 26th day of January, 1884.

KOOTI WHENUA MAORI, NIU TIRENI, TAKIWA O KIHIPANE.

I RUNGA i tetahi whakataunga a te Kooti i Waipawa, i te Takiwa o Kihipane, i te 2 o nga ra o Oketopa, 1883, i runga hoki i te whakaturanga o tetahi kereme kia whakaritea he riwhi mo te hea o Mata Whataunga i roto o tetahi pihi whenua i roto i taua Takiwa, ko “Te Whiti” te ingoa:

I runga hoki i te tono whakawa tuarua a Emiri Tiweta kia whakawakia tuaruatia taua kereme:

Na, ko ahau ko Hone Eruini Maketanara, Te Tumuaki Kaiwakawa o taua Kooti, i runga i te mana kua tukua mai nei ki ahau mo taua mahi, ka whakakahore atu nei i taua tono.

He mea tuhituhi i Akarana i te 26 o nga ra o Hanuere, 1884.
