THE following special order, made by the East Tamaki Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

Special Order made by Southland County Council.—New River Road District constituted.

THE following special order, made by the Southland County Council under “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SOUTH LAND COUNTY.—NEW RIVER ROAD DISTRICT.
SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT this Council hereby, by special order, declares that portion of Southland County formerly included in the Aparima Road District a new road district, under the name of the New River Road District, consisting of two subdivisions, viz., the Waianiwa and Heddon Bush Subdivisions, as described in the Schedules attached to the petition published in the Daily News newspaper of the 20th December, 1883, and presented by the ratepayers of the district affected; and orders that a Board be elected, to consist of six members, three of whom shall be elected by each subdivision for such new district, under the provisions of section 4 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

No. 1.

Description of New River Road District: Bounded as follows, viz., commencing at the north-west corner of Section 63, Oreti Hundred; thence in a southerly direction on the West by the Wallace County to the ocean; thence on the South by the ocean and the northern boundary of the Waikiwi Subdivision of the late Makarewa Road District to the Oreti River; thence on the East by the Oreti River to the north-east corner of Section 34, Oreti Hundred; thence due west on the North by the northern boundary of the Oreti Hundred to the starting point.

No. 2.

Description of Waianiwa Subdivision of New River Road District: Bounded as follows, viz., commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Section 22, Block XX., New River Hundred; thence on the North by the northern boundary of the New River Hundred to the Oreti River; thence in a southerly direction on the West by the Oreti River to the north boundary of the Waikiwi Subdivision of the late Makarewa Road District; thence due west to the ocean; thence by the ocean to the Waimatuku Stream; thence in a northerly direction by the Waimatuku Stream to north-west corner of Section 22, Block XX., aforesaid, being the starting point.

Description of Heddon Bush Subdivision of New River Road District: Bounded as follows, viz., commencing at a point being the south-west corner of Section 95, Oreti Hundred; thence bounded on the West by Wallace County to the northern boundary of the Oreti Hundred; thence on the North by the north boundary of said hundred to the Oreti River; thence on the East in a southerly direction by the Oreti River to the southern boundary of Oreti Hundred; thence on the South by the southern boundary of Oreti Hundred to starting point.
