THE WELLINGTON AND MANAWATU RAILWAY COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (Limited) are constructing a railway under “The Land and Railways Construction Act, 1881,” and have, in terms of the 18th clause of the said Act, deposited for public inspection in the Public Works Office and the office of the company, in Wellington, and in the Post Office, Pahautanui, a plan setting forth the middle line and direction of the railway, and a book of reference showing the lands required to be taken for the portion of the railway, commencing at a point marked 21 miles 58 chains, Section No. 3, Pukerua, and terminating at a point marked 26 miles 20 chains, Section 10, Paikakariki, and the names of

the owners and occupiers of such lands as far as can be ascertained.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £2 per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
