ferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Tauranga Public Domain Board, viz.,—

GEORGE BENTHAM MORRIS,
JAMES WEIR GRAY,
JOSEPH FOSTER BUDDLE,
THE MAYOR of the BOROUGH of TAURANGA,
DAVID LUNDON, and
EDWARD MORTIMER EDGECUMBE

(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each month, at seven o’clock p.m., at the office of the Chairman, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the eighteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Tuesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may, at any monthly or special meeting, appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less, being Allotment No. 273 of Section No. 1 of the Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the North by a street, 1098 links; towards the East by a street, 711 links; towards the South by a street, 957 links; and towards the West by a line, 725 links.

All that parcel of land containing 8 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot No. 393 of Section No. 1, Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa, Tauranga Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded on the North by Brown Street, 1000 links; towards the East by Cameron Road, 1100 links; towards the South by McLean Street, 1114 links; and towards the West by the sea, 590 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of January, 1884.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fifth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Ormond Domain Board, viz.,—

MICHAEL BOLAND,
ARTHUR KEMPTHORNE,
ALEXANDER MCKENZIE, and
ABRAHAM SKILLICORN

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Suburban Sections Nos. 11 and 12 of the Township of Ormond.

Also all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 2 perches, more or less, being Town Section No. 68 of the Township of Ormond.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of January, 1884.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Provincial District of Taranaki, and known as the Opunake Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881;” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land situate in the Township of Opunake, and known as the Opunake Town Belt, containing by admeasurement 24 acres 1 rood 32 perches, a little more or less. Bounded towards the North by a railway reserve, 882 links; towards the East by Longfellow Road, 3121 links; towards the South by Halse Plaée, 993·4 links; and towards the West by Heaphy Road, 2664 links: excepting the South Road, which intersects the same from east to west.
