Returning Officer, &c., for First Elections, Woodville Town District, appointed.
Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 20th December, 1884.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
CHARLES SIAN, Esq.,
to be the Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of five Commissioners of the Town District of Woodville, as constituted under “The Town Districts Act, 1881;” also to appoint Saturday, the 24th day of January, 1885, to be the time, and the Schoolhouse, Woodville, to be the place, for holding such first elections; and also to appoint Monday, the 26th day of January, 1885, at 7.30 p.m., to be the time, and the Club Hotel, Woodville, to be the place, for holding the first meeting of the Commissioners of the said town district.

THAT this Board do, by special order, appoint Mr. John William Sutcliffe to be Ranger for this district, to enforce the by-laws of the Board relating to cattle trespassing on the roads.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with sections 75 and 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
