Mining Notices.
To the Mining Registrar at Cromwell of the Otago Gold Fields Mining District, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for the purpose of driving machinery, commencing at a point on the north side of Adams’s Gully, Bannockburn, about 400 yards above the western boundary of my coal lease, being Section 1, Block I., Bannockburn District, and terminating at the mouth of the tunnel by which the said coal lease is now worked.
Length of race, 600 yards; mean breadth, 2 feet; depth, 1 foot. Water proposed to be diverted: One Government-head. Time required for construction: Already constructed. Term for which license required: Fifteen years.
Dated at Cromwell, this 8th day of December, 1884.
