Native Land Court Notice.

Native Land Court.—Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
WHANGANUI DISTRICT.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given during a session opened at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 22nd day of April, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as “Maungakaretu;” and in the matter of the application of Tete Porokoru and others for a rehearing upon a portion of that land:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 8th December, 1884.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

George Crichton; 8 acres and 23 perches, Wairau and Pelorus Mining District.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Arrowtown on or before the 14th day of January, 1885.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Arrowtown.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: David Wilcock. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “Wilcock’s Alluvial Claim.” 10 acres, at Fiddler’s Gully, in the Wakatipu Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this second day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on or before the 12th day of January, 1885.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before the 5th day of January, 1885.

APPLICANT: Samuel Barr. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “Argus Gold-Mining Company.” 16½ acres, at Boatman’s Creek, one mile and three-quarters from the township of Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Crown Lands Notices.

Rural Land for Sale in the Forty-Mile Bush District, Wairarapa, in the Mangahao, Mangaone, Kopuaranga, and Kaiwhata Survey Districts, and in the Waipakura Survey District.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 30th October, 1884.

IT is hereby notified that the sections of land, as per Schedule hereunder, will be offered for sale on deferred payments, by application at the Land Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 16th December, 1884, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. If two or more applicants apply to purchase the same section, an auction will be held between them, at the Institute, Masterton, on Thursday, the 18th December, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.

For the convenience of deferred-payment selectors resident in the Wairarapa District, a Government officer will be in attendance at the Institute, Masterton, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th December, to receive applications.
