Tenders for Purchase of Steam-engine and Rock-drill.
WRITTEN tenders will be received up to the 31st December, 1884, for the purchase of a new portable steam-engine and diamond rock-drill, with bits 2 inches in diameter, 2,000 feet of rods, and all necessary gearing for working the same, to bore at any angle. Lately imported from America, at the cost of £2,160.

Agricultural Lease cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned agricultural lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Mineral Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of mineral leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for coal-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Dunedin on or before the 6th day of January, 1885.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Crown Lands Office at Dunedin.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANTS: The Dunedin Gold-Dredging Company (Limited). Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “The Dunedin Gold-Dredging Company (Limited).” 20 acres 2 roods 9 perches, being Sections 2, 3, and 6, Block IX., Leaning Rock Survey District, in the Dunstan Mining District.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before the 8th day of December, 1884.
