Land reserved as Endowments for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1877,” the reserves enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for education, and were also temporarily and permanently reserved as such endowments upon the respective dates specified in the second and third columns of the said Schedule, and severally set opposite the respective descriptions of the said reserves:
And whereas notices of such reservations were laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly: And whereas the two Houses have not jointly agreed to alter, vary, or modify the area of any of the reserves, or to nullify any of such reservations, by a resolution disapproving thereof, in terms of the one hundred and forty-seventh section of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by “The Land Act, 1877,” aforesaid, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be reserved as an endowments for primary education, as therein specified respectively.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified under warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked A on the north-western boundary of Section No. 208, Block VI., Kopuaranga Survey District; and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction through the said section, and through Section No. 209, to a point marked B: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 1984, and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 19th January, 1883.

WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of “The Land Act, 1877,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he
