Gold Fields Notices.

Mineral Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of mineral leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for coal-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Dunedin, on or before the 30th day of December, 1884.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Crown Lands Office at Dunedin.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: James Holt. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “James Holt.” 16 acres 1 rood 5 perches, being Sections 140 and 141, Block II., Leaning Rock Survey District, in the Dunstan Mining District.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a sitting of this Court to be held at Hastings, in the District of Napier, on the first day of December next, will be heard the applications of the persons whose names appear in the first column for the subdivision of the hereditaments comprised in the Crown grants of the pieces of land the names of which appear in the second column, situate in the districts named in the third column.

And, in pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of “The Native Land Division Act, 1882,” all persons having in their possession any original grant or other instrument of title relating to any of the lands aforesaid are hereby ordered to produce the same at the said sitting of the Court.
