THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be offered to the public as follows:—

DEFERRED-PAYMENT LANDS.

On Thursday, the 27th day of November next, applications will be received at the Land Office, Christchurch, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., for the under-mentioned lands, open for application on deferred payments.

Applicants for any of the above lands may also send their applications and deposits, with statutory declaration as required by "The Land Act, 1877," through the post to the Land Office, Christchurch, to arrive on or before Thursday, the 27th November, 1884.

Should two or more persons apply for the same section, it will be put up to auction (between the applicants only), at the Crown Lands Office, Christchurch, on Friday, the 28th day of November, at 10.30 a.m.

On Friday, the 28th day of November, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, the under-mentioned lands will be submitted for sale, for cash, by public auction, at the Land Office, Christchurch:—

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to be paid at time of sale, and the balance within one month thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land shall thenceforward be null and void.

The licenses for each run shall be for a term of five years four months, terminating the 1st March, 1890, subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1877," and its amendments. Purchasers will have to pay on the fall of the hammer ten months' rent, to the 1st September, 1885, in pursuance of clause 6, subsection 3 of section 16, "The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879."

IT is hereby notified that the allotments in the Mataitawa Town Belt and the Town and Suburbs of Stratford, described in the Schedule hereunder, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Crown Lands Office, New Plymouth, at noon on Saturday, the 25th October next.
