Toetoes Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Toetoes, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 88, 31st August, 1883, exclusive of the Town District of Wyndham.

Gordon Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Gordon, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 14, 9th February, 1882.

Gore Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Gore, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 24, 9th March, 1882.

Mataura Town Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Mataura, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 22, 2nd March, 1882.

Wyndham Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Wyndham, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 70, 24th August, 1882.

WALLACE COUNTY.

Otatau Riding Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Otatau, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883, exclusive of the Town District of Otatau.

Aparima Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Aparima, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Otatau Town Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Otatau, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 74, 7th September, 1882.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twenty-fifth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the Districts of Okahu, Matakoe, Tauhoa, Waitakerei, Otahuhu, Manurewa, Turanga, Wairoa, Hunua, Pokeno, Waitoa, Te Aroha, Hamilton, Pukekura, Meanee, Clive, Otoia, Kiwitea, Oroua, Alfredton, Masterton, Feathers-ton, Wai-iti, Motueka, Moutere, Wangapeka, Awatere, Mount Somers, Upper Ashburton, Waiareka, Waitahuna, and Brown’s:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the said districts, which shall henceforth be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

HOBSON COUNTY.

Okahu Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Okahu, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Matakoe Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Matakoe, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

RODNEY COUNTY.

Tauhoa Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Tauhoa, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

WAITEMATA COUNTY.

Waitakerei Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Waitakerei, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

MANUKAU COUNTY.

Otahuhu Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Otahuhu Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Manurewa Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road Districts of Papatoitoi and Manurewa, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Turanga Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road Districts of Turanga, Maraetai, and Papakura, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Wairoa Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road District of Wairoa, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Hunua Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road District of Hunua, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883, inclusive of all townships within the boundaries of the said road district.

Pokeno Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road Districts of Pokeno and Mercer, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

PIAKO COUNTY.

Waitoa Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Waitoa. as described in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Te Aroha Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the County of Piako, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, 30th December, 1882, exclusive of the Riding of Waitoa, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

WAIPA COUNTY.

Hamilton Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road Districts of Hamilton and Tuhikaramea, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Pukekura Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Pukekura, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY.

Meanee Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Meanee, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883.

Clive Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Clive, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883.

PATEA COUNTY.

Otoia Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Otoia, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

OROUA COUNTY.

Kiwitea Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Kiwitea, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

MANAWATU COUNTY.

Oroua Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Oroua, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No 60, 29th June, 1883.

WAIRARAPA EAST COUNTY.

Alfredton Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Alfredton, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883.

Masterton Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Masterton, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883.

WAIRARAPA WEST COUNTY.

Featherston Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Featherston, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883, exclusive of the Town District of Featherston.

WAIMEA COUNTY.

Wai-iti Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Wai-iti, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Motueka Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Motueka, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Moutere Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Moutere, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Wangapeka Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Motupiko, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883; and the Riding of Wangapeka, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, 28th November, 1876.
