A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Licensing Act, 1881,” and “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, from and after the first day of February next, abolish the Licensing Districts of Albert, Mangawai, Mahurangi, Puhoi, Wade, Rangiaohia, Newcastle, Mangapiko, Cambridge, Patutahi, Puketapu, Heretaunga, Havelock, Omata, Moa, Manchester, Wairarapa East, Carterton, Greytown, Epuni, Mungaroa, Porirua, Karamea, Wareatea South, Little River, Okain’s Bay, Berard, Mount Cook, North Taieri, East Taieri, Matau, Balmoral, Mount Stuart, Clarendon, Kaitangata, Wairuna, Pomahaka, Richardson, Awarua, Wallacetown, Winton, Waihopai, Wyndham, Gore, Oreti, Otatau, and Aparima: and do proclaim and define the several parts of the colony mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said first day of February next, ordinary licensing districts for the purposes of the said Acts, and that each such district shall be known by the name by which it is designated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
RODNEY COUNTY.

Albert Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Albert, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, 28th November, 1876, and the Riding of Mangawai, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Mahurangi Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Ridings of Mahurangi and Puhoi, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

WAITEMATA COUNTY.

Weiti Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Weiti, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883, and the Road District of Wainui, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

MANUKAU COUNTY.

Papakura Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Papakura, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 69, 17th August, 1882.

WAIPA COUNTY.

Kihikihi Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Kihikihi, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 128, 7th December, 1883.

Newcastle Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road District of Newcastle, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Mangapiko Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road District of Mangapiko, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Rangiaohia Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Rangiaohia, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883, exclusive of the Town District of Kihikihi.

Ngaruawahia Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Ngaruawahia, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 86, 24th August, 1883.

Alexandra Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Alexandra, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 24, 9th March, 1882.

WAIKATO COUNTY.

Tamahere Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Road Districts of Tamahere and Cambridge, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May, 1883.

Cambridge Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Town District of Cambridge, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 45, 11th May, 1882.

COOK COUNTY.

Patutahi Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Ridings of Arai and Waikohu, as described by special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 57, 22nd June, 1883.

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY.

Petane Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Ridings of Okawa, Puketapu, and Petane, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, 1st February, 1883.
