I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Swiss Republic Gold-Mining Company (Limited)
as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act 1872 Amendment Act, 1883."

1. The name of the company is to be the Swiss Republic
   Gold-Mining Company (Limited).
2. The place of operations is at Cedar Creek, in the
   County of Westland, Colony of New Zealand.
3. The registered office of the company will be situated in
   Ross, in the county and colony aforesaid.
4. The nominal capital of the company is twenty-four thou-
   sand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of one pound
   each.
5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four
   thousand, being the entire number of shares in the company.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mining District of
Mount Ida, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race
and divert water for the purposes of irrigation and the
driving of machinery.
The point of commencement of such race is in the Wedder-
burn, at the back of Champion's old station-house. The
point of termination is in my freehold, Section No. 4, at the
Wedderburn.

The course of such race is about north-east and south-
west; the length of such race is one mile or thereabouts, its
mean breath 2 feet, and its mean depth 8 inches.
It is proposed to divert two Government-heads of water.
The race will pass through Crown lands, and an area of 2
feet on each side of such race and immediately adjoining
thereto throughout the whole length thereof will be required
for the purpose of depositing matter removed from such race.

that it is their intention to take, under the provisions
contained in "The Public Works Act, 1876," for a district
road, for the purpose of effecting a deviation of the Rangiao-
hia and Te Rahu Road. Plans and full description of the
same can be seen at the office of the Board, Te Awamutu. All
persons affected are hereby requested to set forth in writing
any reasonable objections to the execution of such work or
the taking of such land, within forty days from date, to the
Clerk of District Board.
