In 1865 Parliament moved to Wellington and sat in the Wellington Provincial Council Chambers (depicted). Gradually expanded into a larger complex of buildings, it was replaced by the General Assembly Library in 1899

Numerous missing issues of the Gazette and Provincial Gazettes (including the entirety of the Nelson Provincial Gazette) were digitised by volunteers Luke and Carole using volumes available at the National Library and Te Matapihi (Wellington Central Library).
