IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining leases and special claims cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no leases of the said ground had ever been applied for :-

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining leases cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no leases of the said ground had ever been applied for :-

Job Gregory and Hugh Horner; 4 acres 1 road, District of Charleston. No. 668.

Patrick Walsh and Patrick O'Brien; 8 acres 2 roods 5 perches, District of Waitakere. No. 1010.

In the Nelson South-West Gold Fields.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Lawrence on or before the 25th day of September, 1884.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Lawrence.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: William Johnstone and others. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “Nelson Gold-Mining Company.” 1 acre 1 rood 31 perches, being Section 5, Block XVIII., Taupeka East, in the Tuapeka Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this second day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Native Land Court.—Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND :
AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Ohinemutu, in the said district, on the 10th day of June, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for the subdivision of a piece of land in the said district, known as “Okohoriki,” part of the Rotorua Patetere Block; and in the matter of the application of Ngahuruhuru and others for a rehearing upon Okohoriki No. B1 :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given at Ohinemutu, in the mid district, on the 26th day of June, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for the subdivision of a piece of land situate in the said district, and known as “Te Rotokohokaha,” part of Rotorua Patetere Block; and in the matter of the application of Ngahuruhuru and others for a rehearing upon Te Rotokohokaha Block No. C :

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.
