Am that piece of land situated in the Whakatane Survey District, containing 5 acres, more or less, being Allotment No. 281, in the Parish of Waiotahi, and being the whole of the land comprised in Vol. xviii., folio 201, of the Auckland District Land Register-book.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
I N exercise and pursuance of the powers ma authorities vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the third day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears ; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the dot aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Mount Somers Public Domain Board, namely,—

JOHN HOOD,
ALEXANDER HARVEY
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,-

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each month, at seven o’clock p.m., at the office of the Mount Somers Road Board, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fired by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, or by my two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such mooting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his* successor.

If at my meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may, at any monthly or special meeting, appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 30 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1633 (in red), situated in the Ashburton District, the boundaries whereof commence at a point on the road forming the eastern boundary of Reserve No. 1631 (in red), the same being one chain south of the south-eastern corner thereof ; thence southerly following the said road a distance of 22 chains ; and extending westerly 13 chains 75 links, in a rectangular block, being partly bounded on the Northward by Reserve No. 1632 (in red).

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for plantation purposes : And whereas, in the option of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands in the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens of the City of Christchurch :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section four of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens of the City of Christchurch, in trust, for plantation purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2636 (in red), situate in the Christchurch Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 36481, 1500 links: towards the East by the reserve 5 chains wide along high-water mark, 1000 links ; towards the South by Section No. 35475, 1500 links ; and towards the West by Section No. 1579 (in red), 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 353 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2637 (in red), situate in the Christchurch Survey District, being that part of Reserve No. 1579 (in red) bounded towards the North by a road-line, 2240 links ; towards the West by a road-line, 16909 links ; towards the South by a road-line, 2580 links ; and towards the East by Sections Nos. 35373, 35461, 35462, 35471, 35476, 35477, 35472, 35473, 35474, 35475, 35491, and 35372, also by lines parallel to and 20 chains distant from the western boundary: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; save and excepting thereout a road-line, being in continuation of that separating Reserves Nos. 2341 and 2361 (in red) ; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 97 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2633 (in red), situate in the Christchurch Survey District. Bounded towards the North by the continuation of the road-line separating Section No. 33003 from Reserve No. 2340, 1760 links ; towards the East by the reserve 5 chains wide along high-water mark, 7700 links ; towards the South by the road-line north of Section No. 35372, 1200 links ; and towards the West by Reserve No. 2637 (in red), 8200 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
