NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with section 18
of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872," that, at a
special meeting of the Shareholders of the Great Extended
Sluicing Company (Registered) held at Lawrence on the 27th
day of August, 1883, JOHN MORRISON, of Lawrence, was
appointed Manager of the said company in the place of
Allan McIntosh, the former Manager.

A GENERAL Meeting of the Shareholders of the New
Sunderland Coal-Mining Company (Limited) will be
held at Mr. Bull's Office, Pakington Street, Westport, on
Tuesday, the 16th day of October, 1883, at 8 p.m., for the
purpose of considering the account of the winding-up by the
Liquidator, and the manner in which the same has been
conducted and the property disposed of; and also for the
purpose of passing a resolution declaring the company to be
fairly wound up.
