Land taken for Portions of the Canterbury Interior Main
Line of Railway (Waimakariri Gorge Section, the
Northern Portion, and the Malvern Section).

A PROCLAMATION.

W
HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for portions of the Canter-
bury Interior Main Line of Railway, viz., the Waimakariri
Gorge Section, the northern portion (five and a half miles),
and the Malvern Section: And whereas all conditions
precedent required by law to be observed and performed
prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby
provided have been observed and performed respectively:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred by sections one hundred and
thirty and two hundred and twenty-nine of "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
taken for the portions of the said line of railway hereinbefore
specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre 1 rood 2 perches, being portion of Rural Section
No. 411, commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of
said section 385 links from the south-east corner thereof.
Bounded as follows: Southerly by a line, 1266 links;
Westerly by a line, 115 links; Northerly by a line, 1266
links; Easterly by the eastern boundary of said rural sec-
tion, 115 links, to the commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 rood 1 perch, being portion of Rural Section No. 678,
commencing at a point on eastern boundary of said section
397 links from the south-east corner thereof. Bounded as
follows: Southerly by a line, 255 links; Westerly by a line,
115 links; Northerly by a line, 255 links; Easterly by the
eastern boundary of said section, 115 links, to the com-
mencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 3 roods 2 perches, being portions of Rural Sections
Nos. 678 and 896, commencing at a point on the western
boundary of said Rural Section No. 896 407 links from the
south-west corner thereof. Bounded as follows: Southerly
by a line, 763 links; Easterly by a line, 115 links; Northerly
by a line, 763 links; Westerly by the western boundary of
said Rural Section No. 896, 115 links, to the commencing
point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure.
ment 2 roods 1 perch, being portion of Rural Section
No. 1086, commencing at a point on the eastern boundary
of said rural section 407 links from the south-east corner
thereof. Bounded as follows: Southerly by a line, 509 links;
Westerly by the western boundary of said rural section, 115
links; Northerly by a line, 509 links; Easterly by the
eastern boundary of said rural section, 115 links, to the com-
mencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre and 8 perches, being portion of Rural Section No.
1964, commencing at a point on the road forming the
southern boundary of said rural section 966 links from the
south-east corner thereof. Bounded as follows: Southerly
by a line 851 links; Easterly by the eastern boundary of said
rural section, 160 links; Northerly by a line, 986 links;
South-westerly by the southern boundary of said rural sec-
tion, 162 links, to the commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 3 roods 4 perches, being Lots Nos. 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70,
on the subdivision plan of Rural Section No. 5972, deposited
in the Land Transfer Office, Christchurch, and numbered
133.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 2 roods 37 perches, being portions of Lots Nos. 95 and 96
on subdivision plan of Rural Sections Nos. 5972 and 7153,
commencing at a point on the north-east boundary of said
Lot No. 95 88 links from the north-east corner thereof.
Bounded as follows: South-easterly by lines, 204, 11,
181, and 213 links respectively; Westerly by the western
boundary of said Lot No. 96, 301 links; North-westerly by
lines, 145 links and 168 links; North-easterly by the north-
east boundaries of said lots, 152 links, to the commencing
point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 rood 37 perches, being portion of Lot No. 97 on the
subdivision plan of Rural Sections Nos. 5972 and 7153,
commencing at the south-east corner of said lot. Bounded
as follows: Easterly by the eastern boundary of said lot, 045
links; North-westerly by lines, 67 and 221 links respec-
tively; Westerly by the western boundary of said lot, 286
links; South-westerly by a drain reserve to the commencing
point.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 rood 8 perches, being portion of Rural Section No.
7153, commencing at a point on the western boundary of
Lot No. 97 on the subdivision plan of said rural section,
286 links from the south-west corner thereof. Bounded
as follows: North-westerly by a line, 496 links; Southerly by
