The School Commissioners of Otago intend also offering for
sale pastoral leases of four runs in the Waikata District, County
of Southland, viz.:—
Run No. 326, 25,290 acres.
Run No. 327, 19,000 acres.
Run No. 327A, 17,700 acres.
Run No. 193A, 10,500 acres.
For terms and particulars see the advertisement which will
be issued by the School Commissioners.
N.B.—Immediately after the sale of the above runs an area
of about 80,000 acres of land surveyed into sections of from 500
to 5,000 acres will be offered for sale on pastoral deferred
payments. Full particulars of these lands will appear in a
future advertisement, which will be issued about a fortnight
hence.

IT is hereby notified that the Commissioners appointed in
pursuance of the seventy-fifth section of “The Land Act,
1877,” have reported to His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be classified as pastoral land, and His Excellency has
determined that the same shall be disposed of as pastoral land
upon deferred payments, as provided by sections 76 to 85
inclusive of “The Land Act, 1877.”

Gold Fields Notices.
Gold Mining Leases to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines
Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act
for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby
notified that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such
leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating the grounds
of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the
Warden at Queenstown on or before the 13th day of February,
1883.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed may be seen
at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANTS: William Caldwell and others. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: “Hibernia.” 4 acres,
Shotover, in the Wakatipu Mining District.
Applicants: John Aspinall and Joshua Copley. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: “The Ophir
No. 1 West.” 10 acres, Shotover, in the Wakatipu Mining
District.
Applicants: Samuel Edwards and Thomas Harvey. Style
under which it is intended to conduct the business: “South
British Alluvial Mining Company.” 8 acres, Shotover, in the
Wakatipu Mining District.
Applicants: Joshua Copley and others. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: “Ophir Quartz-Mining
Company.” 10 acres, Shotover, in the Wakatipu Mining
District.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this nineteenth day
of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
