exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare
my intention to exchange the portion of the reserve described
in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the land
described in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
First Column.
All that piece or parcel of
land in the Provincial District
of Marlborough, being parts of
Sections Nos. 39 and 41, Dis-
trict of Wairau Valley, con-
taining 236 acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the
North by a public road, 3800
links; towards the East by a
public road, 6300 links;
towards the South by other
parts of said Sections Nos. 39
and 41, 3800 links; and
towards the West by Section
No. 43, in the said district,
6300 links; save and ex-
cepting a public road, 75 links
wide, intersecting the said
parcel of land, for which
allowance has been made in
the area: be all the aforesaid
linkages a little more or less.
The said reserve having been
made as a resting-place for
stock.

Second Column.
All that piece or parcel of
land in the Provincial District
of Marlborough, being parts
of Sections Nos. 18 and 20,
District of Wairau Valley,
containing 150 acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the
East by other part of said
Section No. 18, by a line
parallel to and 850 links from
the eastern boundary of said
Section No. 18, 6200 links;
towards the South by a public
road, 2550 links; towards the
West by other part of said
Section No. 20, by a line
parallel to the western boun-
dary of said Section No. 20,
5700 links; and towards the
North by other parts of said
Sections Nos. 18 and 20, by a
line parallel to and 300 links
from the northern boundary
of said sections; save and
excepting a public road, 75
links wide, intersecting the
said parcel of land, for which
allowance has been made in
the area: be all the aforesaid
linkages a little more or less.
All that piece or parcel of
land in the Provincial District
of Marlborough, being part of
Section No. 3 of Block I.,
District of Wairau Valley,
containing 86 acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the
West by a public road, 4650
links; towards the North by
other part of said section,
1850 links; towards the East
by other part of said section,
4650 links; and towards the
South by a public road, 1850
links: be all the aforesaid
linkages a little more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fifteenth day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor
may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or
alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter
vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the pur-
poses named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any
reserves made under the authority of section one hundred
and forty-four of "The Land Act, 1877," if it shall, in the
opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or pre-
sumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other pur-
pose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expe-
dient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve
for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more
purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by
notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to make such
change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in
such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same
is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,

Trustee appointed for the Midhurst Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
FREDERICK WILLIAM SMITH STONE
to be Trustee, in the place of John Henneberry, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Midhurst Public
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government on the twenty-fifth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-second day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-three.

Trustee appointed for Waitara Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
JOSEPH DAVID BAKER
to be a Trustee, in the place of Henry Faull, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Waitara
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor
on the twelfth day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-three.
