respectively:

Now therefore His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several times
mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto
shall be the respective times for taking the several steps set
opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule
respectively.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, pursuant to section 32 of "The Road Boards Act,
1882," this Board hereby, by special order, determine that
three members of the Board, to be balloted for, retire at the
end of the first year, and the remaining four at the end of
the second year.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been
duly made as required by law, in accordance with section
75 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

THE following special orders, made by the Southland
County Council, are published in accordance with "The
Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

THOMAS DICK.

SPECIAL ORDER.
Southland County.
Merging of Waikaia Road District.

THAT this Council do hereby, by special order, declare the
Road Board of the Waikaia Road District to be dissolved,
and the said road district to be merged in Southland County,
all the conditions of subsections (1), (2), and (3) of Section
37 of "The Counties Act, 1876," having been duly complied
with on the 21st January, 1880.

I declare that the above special order was duly made, and
was passed on the 10th August, 1883, under the provisions of
"The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER passed at a Meeting of the Southland County
Council, held on the 13th July, 1883.

That, in pursuance of the powers granted by sections 9
and 10 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882," this Council do
hereby, by special order, alter the boundaries of the Otaraia
and Tuturau Road Districts by transferring from the Otaraia
Road District to the Tuturau Road District all that area of
land estimated to contain 9,500 acres, be the same more or
less. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Wai-
arekiki Stream due West of Trig. Station N, Tuturau Survey
District, and running due East through said Trig. Station N
to the eastern boundary of Tuturau Survey District; thence
by a line running due South to the southern boundary of said
district; thence by a line running due West to a point on
said line due North of Trig. Station T, Wyndham Survey
District; thence by a line running due North to and across
Mimihau Stream; thence in a North-westerly direction by
said Mimihau Stream to its junction with the Waiarekiki
Stream; thence in a Northerly and again in a North-
westerly direction by the said Waiarekiki Stream to the
starting-point. The said alteration to take effect as on and
after the 15th day of August, 1883.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made as by law required.

Ngaruawahia, County of Waipa.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to ap
point

THADDEUS VICARS FITZPATRICK
to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of
five Commissioners of the Town District of Ngaruawahia, as
constituted under "The Town Districts Act, 1882;" also to
appoint Saturday, the 22nd September, 1883, to be the time,
and the Courthouse at Ngaruawahia to be the place, for hold-
ing such first elections; also to appoint Saturday, the 29th
September, 1883, at 12 noon, to be the time, and the said
Courthouse to be the place, for holding the first meeting of
the Commissioners of the said town district.
