of Riding Boundaries.

THE following special order, made by the Bruce County
Council, is published in accordance with "The Counties
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."
THOMAS DICK.
SPECIAL ORDER made by the Bruce County Council on the
3rd day of July, 1883.
THAT the boundaries of the Balmoral Riding be altered so as
to correspond with the boundaries of the Balmoral Road
District. That the boundaries of the Crichton Riding be
altered so as to correspond with the boundaries of the Crichton
Road District. That the boundaries of the Mount Stuart
Riding be altered so as to correspond with the boundaries of
the Mount Stuart Road District. That the boundaries of the
Clarendon Riding be altered so as to include the outlying
district, County of Bruce. Bounded on the North-west by
Tuapeka County; on the North and North-east by the Taieri
County; on the East and South-east by the Waihola Riding;
on the South and South-west by the Tokomairiro and Mount
Stuart Ridings, to the starting point.
I hereby certify that the special order of the Bruce County
Council, altering the boundaries of the Balmoral, Crichton,
Mount Stuart, and Clarendon Ridings, has been duly made
according to "The Counties Act, 1876," and its amendments.

Application for Road Alterations or Closures.

Applications for forming of Special Rating Districts.

Special Order.—That applications for road alterations
or closures at the instance of private parties must be accom-
panied by a deposit of fifteen pounds, and, in case actual
survey is required, with the estimated cost of such survey
additional. -
Special Order.—That applications for special rating
districts must be accompanied by a deposit of thirty-five
pounds, to cover cost of preliminary expenses.
I hereby certify that these special orders have been duly
made.

Southland County, West Plains Special Rating District.
THAT this Council hereby, by special order, constitute the
following area of land a special district under section 40 of
"The Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882," namely,
all that area of land in the County of Southland, to be known
as "West Plains Special District," bounded as follows:
Commencing at the north-east corner of Section 3, Block
XIV., Invercargill Hundred; thence bounded on the North
by the north boundaries of Sections 3, 4, 5; thence South to
a point due east of the south-east corner of Section 23, Block
XIV. aforesaid; thence due West to the south-west corner
of Section 23; thence to the north-east corner of Section 38
of said block; thence due West to the Makarewa River;
thence on the West by the Makarewa River and New River
to a point due west of the south-west corner of Section 16,
Block XVI., Invercargill Hundred; thence along the south
boundary of Sections 16 and 14 to the west corner of Section
12, aforesaid block; thence South-east along the south-west
boundaries of Sections 12 and 37, aforesaid block; thence
along the eastern boundary of Section 36, aforesaid block, to
a point due west of the south-west corner of Section 131,
Block XV., Invercargill Hundred; thence due East to the
south-east boundary of Section 126, aforesaid block; thence
due North to a point due west of the south-west corner of
Section 124, aforesaid block; thence due East to the south-
east corner of Section 124; thence due North to south-west
rner of Section 119; thence due East to the south-east
Amending By-law made by Patea County respecting
Impounding Fees.

THAT a Special Order be made amending by-law (impounding,
Provincial District of Wellington), by inserting after the
words "small cattle, 3d." (heading, "Impounding Fees"),
"The above charges for each day or part of a day that the
animals remain in pound."
I, the undersigned, Chairman of the Patea County Council,
hereby certify that the special order, amending the by-laws
of the Council relating to impounding, in terms of resolution
forwarded by this office to the Colonial Secretary, was duly
made in compliance with the provisions of sections 31 to 34,
"Counties Act, 1882."
