NOTICE.
A meeting of Shareholders in the Foxton and Sanson
Railway Company (Limited) will be held in the
Schoolhouse, Sanson, on Monday, the 16th July, at 7 o'clock
p.m., to confirm the following resolutions, passed at a
meeting held on the 2nd July, 1883:-
Moved by Mr. Edwards, and seconded by Mr. H. Bowater,
"That the balance-sheet be passed." Carried unanimously.
Proposed by Mr. J. Bowater, seconded by Mr. C. Edwards,
"That the Foxton and Sanson Railway Company (Limited)
be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. Henry Sanson
and A. J. Bailey be appointed liquidators to wind up the
affairs in accordance with the provisions of 'The Companies
Act, 1882'; and that it be an instruction to the liquidators to
take legal proceedings after due notice to recover all first
calls." Carried unanimously.
Proposed by Mr. Henry Bowater, seconded by Mr. William
Croucher, "That the liquidators be paid Β£10 each in addition
to all costs and charges necessary in winding up the company."

In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1882."
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Chair-
man, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Manawatu
County to execute a certain public work under the provisions
of "The Public Works Act, 1882," to wit, the construction of
a county road through certain blocks of land known as
Wirokino and Oturoa; and, for the purposes of such public
work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken: And notice is further given that a copy of the
plan of the said road, and of the land so required to be taken,
is deposited in the offices of the Chairman, Councillors, and
inhabitants of the Manawatu County aforesaid, in Liddell
Street, in the Township of Foxton aforesaid, and is there
open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
And notice is further given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work, or by the taking of the said
land, shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Manawatu
County aforesaid, at their offices aforesaid, in Liddell Street
aforesaid, in the Township of Foxton aforesaid.
THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 7 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, situated in Block
IX., Mount Robinson Survey District, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Wellington, being portion of the Wirokino Block,
commencing at a point on the boundary between the Wiro-
kino and Oturoa Blocks, distant from the south-east corner-
peg of the Wirokino Block 375-8 links. Bounded by a line
running in a North-westerly direction 1564-5 links; thence by
a line in a North-easterly direction 1230-7 links to the Mana-
watu River; thence in a South-easterly direction along the
south bank of the Manawatu River 421-3 links; thence by a
line in a South-westerly direction 1138-9 links; thence by a
line in a South-easterly direction 1150 links, to the boundary
of the Wirokino and Oturoa Blocks; thence to the com-
mencing point along said boundary in a South-westerly
direction, 209.8 links.
And also all that piece or parcel of land, containing by
admeasurement 7 acres and 21 perches, more or less, situated
in the said Block IX., of the said survey district, being a
portion of the Oturoa Block, commencing at a point on the
boundary between the Wirokino Block aforesaid and the said
Oturoa Block, distant from the south-east corner peg of the
Wirokino Block 375-8 links. Bounded by lines running in a
South-easterly direction 431 links, 2711-6 links, and 662-1
links; thence by a line in a North-easterly direction 200
links; thence by lines in a North-westerly direction 671-9
links, 2440-5 links, and 463-4 links, to the boundary between
the Wirokino and Oturoa Blocks; thence to the commencing
point along said boundary in a South-westerly direction 209-8
links; and as the said several pieces or parcels of land are
more particularly delineated and described in the plan
deposited as aforesaid.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
DESBOROUGH AND CRERAR.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between the undersigned LAWRENCE VIVIAN
DESBOROUGH and JOHN MCDIARMID CRERAR, for carrying on
the business of General Merchants and Commission Agents,
at Southbridge, under the style or firm of "Desborough and
Crerar," has been dissolved as from the 14th day of July,
1883.
The business of the firm will henceforth be carried on by
the said John McDiarmid Crerar for his own benefit, and all
outstanding claims against the firm must be forthwith
referred to him for settlement. All moneys owing to the firm
must be paid to the said John McDiarmid Crerar, whose
receipt alone will be a sufficient discharge therefor.
