for cash, on Monday, the 20th August next, and every
lawful day thereafter until sold, at the Land Office, at
Wellington.

Description of Land. The Kopuaranga and Mikimiki
sections include forest land, mixed timber, more or less
totara, soil good throughout, part limestone, well watered,
and most of the sections approachable by good roads. The
Kaiwaka sections (near the White Rock, East Coast) include
fair soil, partly covered with mixed timber and scrub, easily
cleared.

Terms of Payment: For the cash sections one-fourth must
be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with
Crown-grant fee, within one month from day of sale.
Maps showing the position of these sections may be seen at
the Land Office, Wellington. Lithograph maps and schedules
may be seen at all the district post-offices; copies will be
forwarded on application.

Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The
Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under
that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes,
it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of
Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants
specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged
with the Warden at Arrow on or before the 8th day of August,
1883.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be
seen at the Warden's Office at Arrow.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANTS: The Maryborough Gold-Mining and Quartz-
Crushing Company (Limited). Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The Maryborough Gold-
Mining and Quartz-Crushing Company (Limited)." 3 acres,
in the Wakatipu Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this thirteenth
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of Land
hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870," unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same in each case on or before the 21st
day of August next.

ANNIE CREAGH.-Lots 4 and 19, of Section 2, of the sub-
division of Allotments 41, 42, and 45, of Section 10, Suburbs
of Auckland; also, Lots 10 and 11, of Section 4, of the afore-
