Revoking the Setting Apart of Pastoral Lands for Sale on
Deferred Payments.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the seventieth section of "The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the notification of the nineteenth day of January,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, setting apart the
section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as
pastoral land on deferred payments, shall be and the same is
hereby revoked.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this fifth day of June, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

Defining the Middle Line of Portion of the Waimea-Switzers
Railway (Riversdale Contract).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the line of railway from Waimea to Switzers is
one of the railways specified in the First Schedule to "The
Public Works Act, 1879," and which Act is, in the seventh
section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorizing the

construction of such railway; and the same is unfinished, and
it has been determined to construct and maintain a portion
of such railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the
aforesaid section seven of "The Public Works Act, 1879," and
by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and
thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and in exercise of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of
the said portion of the said railway shall be from a point about
four chains in a south-westerly direction from the north-west
corner of Block VII., Township of Riversdale, to a point in Pre-
emptive Right No. 1, Block IV., Wendon District, Provincial
District of Otago, as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
The said middle line and the land through which the same passes
are set forth in the map and plan marked P.W.D. 10154, and
authenticated for the purposes of this Proclamation by the
signature of the Honourable Walter Woods Johnston, the
Minister for Public Works, and which said map and plan is
deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court
at Invercargill, in the Provincial District of Otago.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the Waimea Plains Railway situated
about 4 chains in a south-westerly direction from the north-
west corner of Block VII., in the Township of Riversdale, in
the Provincial District of Otago; proceeding thence generally
in a north-easterly and northerly direction for a distance of 7
miles or thereabouts, passing in, into, through, or over the
following lands, viz. : The Railway Reserve in the Township
of Riversdale, and Sections Nos. 531 and 115, Hokanui District,
Crown lands, Wendonside District, and Pre-emptive Right
No. 1, Block IV., Wendon District; and terminating at a
point in the said pre-emptive right about 39 chains in a north-
easterly direction from the south-west corner of said pre-emptive
right; all within the said provincial district, Colony of New
Zealand; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands,
roads, reserves, streams, rivers, and watercourses; in the
manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 10154, signed by
the Hon. Walter Woods Johnston, Minister for Public Works,
and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court at Invercargill, in the aforesaid provincial district; the
total length of the said middle line being 7 miles or there-
abouts.
