NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-RACE.
Tuapeka, 9th January, 1883.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at the end of Cox and Clifford’s tail-race in Nuggety Gully, Hedgehope, and terminating at Section 6, Hedgehope.
The length of such race is about one mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south.
The mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean breadth 1 foot 6 inches; and it is proposed to divert four Government-heads of water.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-RACE.
Totara, Ross, 8th January, 1883.
To the Mining Registrar at Ross, in the Totara Mining District, and to all other persons whom it may concern.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the Mikonui River about two miles more or less above Comiskey and Moran’s water-right, and at a level of 60 feet above the said right, and terminating at our special claim near the Donoghue’s State School.
The length of such race is seven miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south nearly.
Time estimated for completion and construction, twelve months.
The mean depth of such race is 4 feet, and the mean breadth is 6 feet; and it is proposed to divert forty Government-heads of water.

To the Mining Registrar of the Mining District of Mount Ida, and all others whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for irrigation purposes, commencing at a point in Sowburn Creek about a quarter of a mile above the Sowburn Township, passing through Rowley and Hamilton’s Run 204, thence through Sections 14 and 13, Block XIII., Maniototo Survey District, and terminating on Section 4, same block and district.
Length of race: About three and a half miles.
Depth: 9 inches.
Breadth: 18 inches.
Course: North-easterly and south-westerly.
To divert one Government-head of water.
Time of construction: About six months.
Dated at Naseby, this 10th day of January, 1883.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby, in the Mount Ida Mining District, and to all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race to divert and use water for irrigation and domestic purposes, commencing at a point in Andrews Gully on the east side of Rough Ridge, taking half head of water therefrom; and from thence to Smith’s Gully, taking half head of water therefrom; and from thence to Dad’s Gully, taking one head of water therefrom; and terminating in the County Forest Reserve, in White Sow Valley.
The length of such race is about three miles, and its intended course is south to north.
The mean depth of such race is 10 inches, and the mean width is 12 inches; and it is proposed to divert two Government-heads.
