NOTE.-The acreage given in the foregoing runs is exclusive
of bush area. Plans and further particulars can be obtained
on application at any Land Office in the colony, where slips of
the sale may also be had..

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE.
The leases of the above runs will be sold subject to the
general provisions as to runs specified in the Land Acts, 1877,
1879, and 1882.

The first year's rent, with license fee (£10), to be paid on fall
of hammer, either by cheque marked by banker or in cash, and
thereafter by half-yearly payments (in advance), on the 1st 57

March and 1st September in each year. Possession will be
given on the 1st March, 1884. Valuations for improvement (if
any), which shall in no case exceed three times the amount of
the average annual rent paid under the existing leases, are to
be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Dunedin, one month
before getting possession, in pursuance of sections 115 to 117 of
"The Land Act, 1877."

The School Commissioners of Otago intend also offering for
sale pastoral leases of four ruas in the Waikaia District, County
of Southland, viz. :-
Run No. 326, 25,290 acres.
Run No. 327, 19,000 acres.
Run No. 327A, 17,700 acres.
Run No. 193A, 10,500 acres.
For terms and particulars see the advertisement which will
be issued by the School Commissioners.

N.B.-Immediately after the sale of the above runs an area
of about 80,000 acres of land surveyed into sections of from 500
to 5,000 acres will be offered for sale on pastoral deferred
payments. Full particulars of these lands will appear in a
future advertisement, which will be issued about a fortnight
hence.

Land Transfer Act, 1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding
the same within one month from the date of the gazetting of
this notice.

A PPLICATION having been made to me by THOMAS
BULLOCK to register a certain dealing affecting that
piece of land situated in the Ashburton District, being Lots
numbered 357 and 358 on deposited Plan 91, as described in
certificate of title, Vol. xli., folio 211, whereof he is the re-
gistered Proprietor, and a statutory declaration of the loss of
the said certificate having been lodged with me, and the said
THOMAS BULLOCK having applied for the issue of a provisional
certificate, I hereby give notice that I shall register such dealing
and issue the provisional certificate, as requested, at the ex-
piration of fourteen days after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice, unless in the meantime a caveat be lodged
forbidding the same.

Dated at the Lands Registry Office, Christchurch, this 11th
day of January, 1883.
