Auction Sale of Crown Lands at Masterton.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 8th January, 1883.

ON Thursday, the 15th February, at 11 o'clock in the fore-
noon, the following sections situate in the Mangaone,
Tiffen, and Mangapakeha Survey Districts, near Masterton, the
Waipawa, Wainuioru, Mount Cerberus, and Aohanga Survey
Districts on the East Coast, and Mount Robinson Survey
District, Manawatu, will be offered for sale by public auction,
for cash, at the Institute, Masterton.

TO BE SOLD BY PUBLIC AUCTION FOR CASH.

  • Present lessee to be allowed to remove 165 chains of fencing within
    three months after date of sale, should he desire to do so.
    † With £38 10s. added, being amount of valuation of improvements or
    fencing.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to be paid at
sale, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Blen-
heim, within one calendar month from date of sale; otherwise
the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the
land thenceforth be null and void.

Also, at the same place, immediately after the auction sale,
leases of the under-mentioned pastoral lands will be offered at
public auction, for a period of fourteen years, at the upset
rentals noted opposite each:—

    Terms of Payment: One-fourth must be paid on the day of
    sale, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue at
    Wellington within one month from date of sale.
    On some of the above sections there is good timber, including
    totara; soil good, and well watered.
    The position of the above sections can be seen on the record
    map at the Land or Survey Office, Wellington, and at Masterton
    on the day of sale.

Sale and Lease of Portions of the Awatere Shearing Reserve,
Land District of Marlborough.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned portions
of the Awatere Shearing Reserve will be disposed of, at
the Crown Lands Office at Blenheim, on Wednesday, the 28th
February, 1883, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon :-

Rural Lands to be Open for Selection.—Land District of
Auckland.

I HEREBY notify that the Rural Lands mentioned in the
Schedule hereunder will be open for selection on Thursday,
the 1st Februray, 1883.

These lands are situated about fifteen miles from Gisborne,
on the formed main road to Wairoa, and on that leading to the
Hangaroa Village-site. The surface soil is light, resting on
marl. The country is a good deal broken, but with small flats
on most of the sections. The vegetation consists of fern, tutu,
and flax, and a little grass, with patches of mixed bush in the
gullies.
