Subdivision No. 4.

Bounded towards the North-east generally by a line com-
mencing at a point in the middle of the Wanganui River where
produced strikes it, and proceeding southerly to the north-east
corner of Subdivision No. 3, hereinbefore described, so as to
include Upokongoro Block No. 1 aforesaid, Section No. 280,
and the Waipakura Survey District, and the Waipakura Native Re-
serve ; thence towards the South by Subdivision No. 3 afore-
said to the said Wanganui River ; thence towards the West,
North, and North-east generally by a line along the middle of
the Wanganui River aforesaid to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary-line of the Upokongoro Block No. 1 aforesaid,
the place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 5.

Bounded towards the South-west and North-west by a line
along the middle of the Wanganui River, from the north-
eastern boundary-line of Upokongoro Block No. 1 produced to the
intersection of Wanganui River aforesaid by the south-western
boundary-line of West Taupo County ; thence towards the
North-east, South-east, and North by the said West Taupo
County and by East Taupo County to the middle of the said
Wangaohu River ; thence towards the East generally by a line
along the middle of the said Wangaohu River to the Kokomiko
Block ; thence towards the South-west generally by the Koko-
mui purchased block and the Makirikiri Stream to the south-
west corner of Section No. 279, Waipakura Survey District ;
and thence by Subdivision No. 4, hereinbefore described, to the
place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 6.

Bounded towards the North-east generally by Subdivision
No. 5, hereinbefore described, from the north-eastern corner
of the Waipakura Native Reserve to the middle of the
Wangaohu River ; thence towards the East by a line along the
middle of the said Wangaohu River to a point in line with
the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 245, Block V.,
Wangaohu Survey District ; thence towards the South-west
generally by a right line to the north-west corner of the said
Section No. 245 ; thence by a right line to the eastern corner
of Section No. 202, Block XIII., Waipakura Survey District,
right bank Wanganui River aforesaid, to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of said Section No. 202, Block XIII., Wai-
pakura Survey District ; thence towards the South-west generally
by a right line to the north-west corner of the said Wai-
pakura Native Reserve ; thence north-westerly along
the north-eastern boundary of the said Waipakura Native Reserve
to the Kaukatea Stream ; thence by the said Kaukatea Stream
till it intersects a line bearing east (magnetic) from the south-
east corner of Section No. 292, Block II., Ikitara Survey
District ; thence by that line to the eastern boundary of Sub-
division No. 3, hereinbefore described ; and thence towards the
North-west generally by the said Subdivision No. 3 and Sub-
division No. 4, hereinbefore described, to the place of com-
mencement.

Subdivision No. 7.

Bounded towards the North by Subdivision No. 6, hereinbefore
described ; thence towards the East by a line along the middle
of the Wangaohu River ; thence towards the South by Subdivi-
sion No. 2, hereinbefore described ; and thence towards the West
by Subdivision No. 3, hereinbefore described, to the place of
commencement.

Wanganui and Waitotara Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
bounded towards the North-west and South-west by
Patea and Taranaki Counties respectively, from the mouth
of the Waitotara River to the Wanganui River ; thence
towards the North-east and South-east by a line along the
middle of the said Wanganui River to its mouth ; and
thence towards the South-west by the shore of Cook Strait to
the mouth of the Waitotara River aforesaid, the place of com-
mencement : excepting from the above-described area the
Borough of Wanganui.

Subdivision No. 1.

Bounded towards the North-east by the north-eastern boun-
dary-line of the Waitotara purchased block, from the Waitotara
River to the north-east corner of Native Reserve No. 2 ; thence
towards the South-east by lines so as to include within their
limits the said Native Reserve No. 2 and Sections Nos. 43,
44, 61, 60, and 59, Block XIII., Nukumaru Survey District ;
thence towards the South by the shore of Cook Strait to the
mouth of the Waitotara River ; and thence towards the
North-west generally by a line along the middle of the said
Waitotara River to a point in line with the northern bound-
ary of the Waitotara purchased block aforesaid ; and thence by a
right line to the place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 2.

Bounded towards the North-east, North-west, and North by
the northern boundary-lines of the Waitotara purchased block,
the Kai Iwi Block, and the Kaiwatu and Koatanui Block, from
the north-eastern corner of Native Reserve No. 2 (Waitotara Block)
to the Mangaone Stream ; thence towards the South-east by the
said Mangaone Stream, the Kai Iwi Stream, and the western
boundary-line of the Wanganui purchased block to the shore
of Cook Strait ; and thence towards the South-west by the
shore of Cook Strait aforesaid to the south-east corner of
Section No. 59, Block XIII., Nukumaru Survey District (Wai-
totara Block) ; and thence again towards the North-west by
Subdivision No. 1, hereinbefore described, to the place of
commencement.

Subdivision No. 3.

Bounded towards the North-east generally by lines so as to
include within their limits Sections Nos. 241, 245, 239, 244,
and 170, Block I., Westmere Survey District, Sections Nos.
157, 156, 91, 90, 89, 108, 85, and 84, Block II., Westmere
Survey District aforesaid, Sections Nos. 83, 82, 81, 80, and
15, Block V., Westmere Survey District aforesaid ; thence
towards the South-east and again towards the North-east by
the Wanganui Town Belt to the Wanganui River ; thence by
the production of the south-western boundary-line of the Town
Belt aforesaid to the middle of the Wanganui River afore-
said ; thence towards the South by a line along the middle of
that river to its mouth ; thence towards the South-west by
the shore of Cook Strait to the mouth of the Mowhanau
Stream ; and thence towards the North-west by Subdivision
No. 2, hereinbefore described, to the place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 4.

Bounded towards the North-west and West by Patea County
and Subdivision No. 1, hereinbefore described, to the Wanganui
River ; thence towards the North-east and East by a line along
the middle of the said Wanganui River to a point opposite to
the north-eastern corner of Section No. 202, Block XIII., Wai-
pakura Survey District ; thence towards the South-east generally
by lines so as to include Sections Nos. 203, 204, 207, and the
application of S. Gray for 115 acres, the Ngaturi Native Re-
serve, and Sections Nos. 70 and 71, said Block XIII., Sections
Nos. 61, 136, 135, 113, 112, 111, 110, and 109, Block II.,
Westmere Survey District ; thence towards the South-west by
Subdivision No. 3, hereinbefore described ; thence again towards
the North-west by Subdivision No. 2, hereinbefore described ;
and thence again towards the South-west by the said Sub-
division No. 1, hereinbefore described, to Patea County aforesaid,
the place of commencement.

Subdivision No. 5.

Bounded towards the North-east and South-east generally by
a line along the middle of the Wanganui River, from a point
opposite to the north-east corner of Section No. 202, Block
XIII., Waipakura Survey District, right bank Wanganui River
aforesaid, to a point in line with the north-east boundary of
the Wanganui Town Belt ; thence towards the South-west and
South-east by the said Town Belt to the eastern corner of
Section No. 15, Block V., Westmere Survey District ; thence
towards the South-west generally by Subdivision No. 3, herein-
before described ; and thence towards the North-west and
North by Subdivision No. 4, hereinbefore described, to the place
of commencement.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY.
Rangitikei Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
bounded towards the North-west, North-east, again towards
the North-west, and towards the North by Wanganui County,
from the mouth of the Wangaohu River to the south-western
boundary of Hawke's Bay County ; thence again towards the
North by the said Hawke's Bay County to the Ruahine Range ;
thence towards the East by the summit of the said Ruahine
Range to a point due east from the source of the Kawatatau
branch of the Rangitikei River ; thence towards the South by
a right line due west to the said source of the Kawatatau branch
(the said line being the northern boundary of Manawatu
County) ; thence towards the South-west by the Kawatatau
branch aforesaid to its confluence with the Rangitikei River
(the same branch being the north-eastern boundary of the
said Manawatu County) ; thence towards the South-east by
a line along the middle of the said Rangitikei River to its
mouth ; and thence again towards the South-west by the
shore of Cook Strait to the mouth of the Wangaohu River,
the place of commencement: excepting from the above-de-
scribed area the Borough of Marton and the Town Districts
of Bull's and Lethbridge.
