Description of Land.—Block V.: Sections 7 and 8, broken,
soil light but fair, a little bush for firewood in gullies, small
flats along the river. Block IX.: Sections 3 and 4, broken, soil
light, covered with high fern and tutu, well watered. Block X.:
Section 1, undulating, soil light, well watered, covered with high
fern and tutu ; Sections 2 and 3, undulating and flat, soil light,
well watered, covered with high fern, tutu, and grass. These
lands are situate close to the road from Fraserstown to Lake
Waikaremoana, and about ten miles distant from the former.
Terms of Sale : One fourth of the purchase-money to be paid
at time of application, and the balance within one month
thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by
way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale
of the land shall henceforth be null and void. Crown-grant
fee to be paid on completion of purchase.
NOTE.—Plans of all the above lands may be seen on appli-
cation at this office; at the Land Offices, Tauranga and
Gisborne; and at all the principal Land Offices in the colony.

Schedules hereunder will be offered for sale by public
auction, at the Council Chamber, Napier, on Wednesday, the
7th February next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.
A lithograph plan has been prepared, and may be had on
application to the Survey Office.
Terms and conditions may be ascertained on application at
this office.

Description.—The sections in Block XIV., and Sections 30
to 35, Block XIII., Pohui District, are chiefly forest with a few
clearings. The timber consists of rimu, matai, and a little
white pine. The formation of the ground is undulating and
well watered, the soil inclined to be light. Sections 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 11, and 12, Block II., Patoka, Sections 15 and 16, Block
XIII., and Section 8, Block XV., Pohui District, are open
hilly fern land, with a little bush on Sections 11, 12, 15, and 8.
Sections 1 and 2, Block VI., Patoka, open fern land, billy, soil
light, overlying limestone-formation, a small quantity of bush on
each. Access is given by roads which have been partly formed,
about two and a half miles through the bush being cleared of
timber. The Hawke's Bay County Council has in course of
construction a line of road giving access to these lands from the
inland Patea Road, a distance of six miles. There is also another
dray road vid Puketapu and Rissington. The distance from
Napier is about forty miles by road.

THE lands mentioned hereunder, having been classified under
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," will be
offered for sale, for cash, by public auction, at the Council
Chamber, Napier, on Wednesday, the 28th February next, at
11 o'clock in the forenoon.
A lithograph plan of the block has been prepared, and may be
had on application at the Survey Office.
One-fourth of the purchase-money must be paid at the sale,
and the balance within one calender month thereafter.
