SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS TO WIND UP THE MARTON STEAM THRESHING AND AGRICULTURAL MACHINES COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE.—At a special general meeting of the Shareholders of the Marton Steam Threshing and Agricultural Machines Company (Limited), held at the Company’s office, High Street, Marton, on Saturday, the 28th day of April, 1883, at 8 o’clock in the evening, it was resolved that the following special resolutions passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the Company, held on the 14th March last, viz.,—
“That the affairs of the Company be wound up voluntarily;”
“That Messrs. William Henderson and T. O. Lattorff be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators of the Company;”
“That the remuneration of each Liquidator be £5 5s.;”
—be, and the same are by this special general meeting, confirmed.

NEW ZEALAND NATIVE LAND SETTLEMENT COMPANY (LIMITED).
EXTENSION OF LIMITS OF OPERATIONS AND GENERAL ENLARGEMENT OF POWERS.
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made to the General Assembly, at the ensuing session thereof, by the New Zealand Native Land Settlement Company (Limited), for leave to bring in a Bill authorizing the said Company to extend its operations over the North Island of New Zealand; and to change the situation of its registered office; and to acquire and hold lands as Trustees or Agents; and to manage lands on terms to be arranged with the owners thereof; and to guarantee payment of liabilities of persons transferring lands to it; and to purchase its shares voluntarily and compulsorily; and to borrow money, and issue debentures, and create debenture-stock; and to mortgage its lands and unpaid capital; and to contract with the Crown or the Minister of Public Works, or the public officer, for the construction of roads, bridges, and works; and to appear in the Native Land Court by counsel, agents, and witnesses, and to make application thereto to have its interest in land defined and vested in itself; and to amalgamate with other companies; and to confer and vary other rights, powers, and privileges.
And notice is also given that copies of the said Bill will be deposited in the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Wellington either before or within fourteen days after the commencement of the said session, and will be open to the inspection of all parties.

WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
TAKING LAND FOR A GRAVEL-PIT.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waitaki County Council have deposited at the Schoolhouse, Ngapara, copy of a plan showing lands to be taken for a gravel-pit under “The Public Works Act, 1882.” Such plan is now open to inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours for a period of forty days from the date hereof. All persons affected thereby are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the proposal, and to send such writing within forty days from this date to the Chairman of Waitaki County Council.
Description of Land: Commencing at a point on county road distant about 1110 links south-east from north-west corner of Section 16, Block VII., Awamoko Survey District; thence northerly, 500 links; thence in a south-east direction, 300 links; thence southerly, 500 links; thence north-west along road-line, 300 links, to starting-point: the same being more particularly delineated on plan.

WAIPA COUNTY.
NOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” the Waipa County Council propose to take the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunder for the purpose of a public road, and that the plans and descriptions of the lands required are now open for public inspection at the Post Office, Whatawhata, and the residence of Mr. James Wells, Tuhikaramea, in the Road Districts of Newcastle and Tuhikaramea respectively, at all reasonable hours for a period of forty days from the date hereof; and that all persons affected thereby are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the date hereof to the Clerk of the Waipa County Council at Ohaupo.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land, of the width of 1 chain or thereabouts, commencing at the angle of the road forming the northern boundary of Lot 31, in the Parish of Tuhikaramea, taking a southerly direction, traversing Lots 31, 30, 29, 10, 24, 106, 107, 110, 111, 131, 133, 135, 136, 207, 208, 159, 160, 191, 197, 196, 344, 345, 349, 368, 273, 274, and terminating at the angle of the road forming the southern boundary of Lot 274, all in the Parish of Tuhikaramea; as the same are more particularly delineated and described in the plans aforesaid.
